On 14 January 2026, IGNITE Network+, UKERC, EDI+ and Supergen Networks Hub hosted an interactive event at The Exchange, Birmingham, exploring how EDI principles can be embedded meaningfully across energy research.
The day featured conversation stations on allyship, power and privilege, women in science, disability inclusion, LGBTQ+ representation, and neurodiversity in STEM, led by EDI+ and IGNITE projects.
Attendees also joined a panel discussion on building inclusive research cultures, gaining practical insights from diverse voices across the sector.
