Organisational Membership

Organisational Membership Criteria

  • Organisational membership is open to all non-individual groups operating in the energy research sector e.g. network/consortium, CDT, trade body, company - all sectors.
  • Organisational members must support the IGNITE Network+ vision and aims.
  • Organisational members must agree to follow the IGNITE Network+ Code of Conduct.
  • Organisations should complete a short organisational membership form which collects some basic information and details of your areas of interest which will be included in the members area of the web-site.
  • Membership is free of charge.


What is the purpose of our organisational membership?

  • Networking: engagement with relevant groups (above) to offer something meaningful e.g. network of networks:
    • part of a supportive, professional community of members;
    • share Initiatives and opportunities (jobs, prizes, funding etc) by distributing information widely on behalf of the network;
    • supporting the development of the network, recruiting new champions, mentors and members.
  • Advocacy: collective voice on key EDI issues within the energy research sector.
  • Knowledge Exchange: work collaboratively on joint events, sharing best practice; access to research data and reports:
    • Assisting the network to gather information and data on EDI activities and coordinate interventions from a wide range of energy-related and EDI-related networks around the UK e.g. Prescribed Activity 2 - Mapping out the organisational interventions.


What are we asking from organisational members?

  • Engage in PA2Mapping out the organisational interventions, by providing us with evidence of successful EDI policies and interventions and participating in a survey.  Our EDI Organisational survey to measure the effectiveness of EDI interventions in the energy research sector is now open (April-2024).  We welcome leaders and staff who are closely involved with EDI efforts in your organisation take this short survey to diagnose the maturity of your organisation’s EDI efforts, and identify your programme's strengths and areas for enhancement.  Complete the survey
  • Potential to engage with PA1Baseline Data Collection and Impact Monitoring and other Prescribed Activities (PAs).
  • Share best practice, events and activities.
  • Potentially contribute to a case study.
  • Champion the network by encouraging employees to join as individual members.
  • Include our logo and web URL on your web-site, where possible.


What benefits do organisational members receive?

  • Opportunity to engage, network and collaborate with the IGNITE network+ providing a collective voice on EDI issues.
  • Letter of support stating that you are a member of IGNITE Network+.
  • A listing on the organisational members area on the web-site to present their successful EDI activities and interventions.
  • Priority access to exhibition and sponsorship opportunities at the annual conference and other relevant events.
