News | 11-10-2023

The research study on the careers of ethnic minority energy professionals (EMEP) is recruiting ethnic minority energy professionals in their early and mid-careers.to participate in a one-to-one, in-depth qualitative interview.

The aim of the project is to develop knowledge and guidelines on how to adopt an intersectional approach to support the careers of ethnic minority energy professionals in their early and mid-careers.

This research will identify the formal and informal support systems and interventions, which will enhance the knowledge of organisations, influence policymakers and increase public awareness of issues related to the career progression of ethnic minorities.

The project is being led by Mehreen Gul (Assistant Professor in Architectural Engineering, Heriot-Watt University) and Dulini Fernando (Professor, Work and Organisation, Aston University Birmingham).
