Tell us a little bit about you
I am from Maharashtra, India,. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering focusing on Smart Grid Cybersecurity.
Beyond the technical world, I am a free spirited individual who values the essence of true freedom. I believe that anonymity gives you the chance to truly find yourself—when you are not defined by labels, expectations or societal norms, you explore the raw, unfiltered version of who you are. That’s how I approach life. I enjoy the long drives, the simplicity of walks and the cooking—though I treat it more like an art than a routine task. Maybe an artist would say my cooking is like an abstract painting, rare but full of passion when it happens.
To me, life is about breaking patterns, embracing uncertainty and experiencing the world without restrictions. Whether it's through research, travel or just a quiet moment of reflection, I believe in living life on my own terms.
I have always been fascinated by astrology. At one point, I even wanted to become an astrologer, but life had other plans. Even though it didn’t happen, the curiosity never left me. Maybe in the future, I will explore studying astrology, just to see where the stars lead me.
What is your area of research and what project(s) are you working on now?
I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. with a focus on smart grid cybersecurity, specifically working on modeling Load Redistribution (LR) attacks, a type of False Data Injection Attack (FDIA). My research investigates an attacker's optimal strategies to cause maximum disruption despite having uncertain system information, incorporating resource constraints and enhancing the stealth in existing attack strategies. In addition to this, I am also exploring how Digital Twins technology can enhance the cybersecurity posture of smart grids.
Fun question: If you had a magic wand, what is one thing you would change right now?
If I had a magic wand, I would create a world where women can live freely, without fear or restrictions, where walking alone at night isn’t an act of courage, where opportunities aren’t limited by gender and where safety isn’t a privilege but a given. A world where a woman’s choices, what she wears, where she studies, whom she loves are truly hers, without judgment or control.
