Tell us a little bit about you

As a Lead R&D Engineer at PNDC, my key role is to develop and deliver a portfolio of technical research and innovation projects in whole energy system, with particular emphasis on experimental validation and testing. The research focusses on the integration of heat and transport into the electricity vector and the role of hydrogen in the transition to net-zero. I have more than a decade of professional experience in the energy transition interweaving technology, regulation and policy paradigms. I have an undergraduate in electrical and electronics engineering, masters in energy systems, and a doctoral degree in electrical engineering. I have worked both in industry and academia enabling me to seamlessly bridge the expectations of partners and stakeholders in collaborations. My current research focuses on whole system energy transition including multi-vector and multi-dimensional transfer of energy.

Areas of expertise: Whole system perspective of energy analysis, Challenges and opportunities in Hydrogen, Stimulating Innovation in SMEs, Energy technology and policy interactions, Renewable energy systems design and operation (DC nano grid, AC microgrid, and large scale AC smart grids), Integration of domestic storage (thermal and electrical), Distributed generation/load for demand-side management, electric vehicle infrastructure planning, ancillary services from electric vehicles, power system modeling, simulation, and analysis.
